Hi, I'm Chrissy Cheek, founder of OklaTalian!

If you've ever wondered who grows the herbs, develops the recipes, infuses the oils, designs the labels, fills the bottles, loads the market trailer, and answers the emails—the answer is usually me. 

OklaTalian was born from a passion of gardening, cooking, and bringing people together around great food. As someone with Italian roots and an appreciation for our Oklahoma agriculture, I wanted to create products that blend the best of both worlds. The result? A little Oklahoma, a little Italian, and a whole lot of flavor.

My path to OklaTalian has been anything but ordinary. I hold a degree in Public Relations, have pursued continuing education in Business Operations, and have maintained my Cosmetology License for more than 25 years. Along the way, I've learned that no matter the industry, success comes down to passion, creativity, and taking care of people.

When I'm not in the kitchen creating new products, you'll often find me digging in the garden, attending farmers markets, supporting local growers, or serving as 2nd Vice President of Programs for the Tulsa Herb Society, where I have the privilege of helping connect fellow herb enthusiasts through educational programs, guest speakers, field trips, and gardening events.

What started as growing herbs and creating infused olive oils for family and friends quickly turned into a business I never imagined. Before long, people were asking where they could buy more, and OklaTalian was officially born.

Today, I handcraft our products in small batches in Bixby, Oklahoma, using premium ingredients and herbs grown in my own garden whenever possible. I'm also a Certified ServSafe Manager and registered with the Tulsa Health Department as a Certified Manager, because creating delicious products should always go hand-in-hand with creating them safely.
